Project overview
Echo is a planned multifamily community at 95 N. 4th Street in downtown San Jose. The project is positioned across from San Jose City Hall, near the future downtown BART station and with convenient access to VTA light rail.
Current plans call for 315 residences in an eight-story building. Echo forms the northern portion of the larger Icon/Echo block, bringing new housing to a location within walking distance of San Jose State University, restaurants, cafes, cultural destinations and neighborhood businesses.

Project path
The team has completed the Icon/Echo land assembly, secured pre-construction financing and advanced an updated residential plan for the downtown site.
Urban Catalyst acquired the final parcel needed for the Icon/Echo development site.
Financing was secured to support land, entitlement and pre-construction work for the project.
Echo advanced with an updated eight-story, 315-home multifamily design for the Icon/Echo site.
Our site development permit was approved.
Location
Echo is planned along North Fourth Street between East Santa Clara and East Saint John streets, placing future residents near City Hall, San Jose State University, Saint James Park and the broader downtown core.
